Court Fields School is a great place to learn.  We are a happy and friendly school where teachers and students enjoy working together.  We have a strong ethos of integrity, respect, kindness, resilience and responsibility which are our guiding values.  We expect high standards from ourselves and our students and strive to achieve the very best for every child.  The safety and welfare of every child is paramount and takes priority over everything we do.

At Court Fields we pride ourselves on our outstanding pastoral care, our varied programme of enrichment and extra-curricular activities and our commitment to developing the whole child.

Court Fields converted to an Academy in January 2014 and is part of The Castle Partnership Trust.  Our Governors are highly aspirational and work closely with staff and students to ensure we deliver a high quality education to all children in our care.

Our approach is that every child achieves, every child belongs and every child participates in the full life of our school.  We are proud of our students and what they achieve in their GCSE’s which continue to improve year on year.  Our House system and tutor system ensure that students feel part of a family within our school which gives them a strong sense of belonging.  We expect all students to take part in at least one club, one residential and one outdoor pursuit in their time at Court Fields which we believe builds character, confidence and resilience.

We are a school of 775 students aged 11-16 located in the beautiful semi rural town of Wellington in Somerset.  We enjoy excellent accessibility to the County town of Taunton, the M5 corridor, the stunning Jurassic coast and the rolling Blackdown Hills (AONB) home to the famous Wellington Monument.

We have excellent facilities to include 7 dedicated computer suites, large field spaces and an impressive Sports Hall.  Our catering services are on site providing an extensive range of hot and cold menu choices.

To find out more about our school please view our new 2020 Prospectus which can be found on our website under the tab ‘About Us’.

Prospective parents are welcome to visit us at work at any time.  Please contact school and book an appointment to be shown round by senior staff.  I look forward to meeting you and your family and for you to be part of our school and our success.
