CONTACTING THE SCHOOL
We hope that you and your child have a happy and rewarding time at Court Fields School. However, very occasionally problems may arise. We would encourage parents to let us know as soon as possible, should that happen. We will do the same, so that we can all work together to support your child.
We encourage a culture of open communication and want parents/carers to talk to us when we do things right, if we can do something better, or if you want to share good news with us. If there is something that we can do better, please let us know, so that we can develop our systems and processes to be the best they can be.
Your first point of contact is your child’s Tutor, and you should contact them with any questions, comments or concerns. The easiest way to do this is via email. All parents have been provided with their Tutor’s email details via ClassCharts or on email from the school. The Tutor will contact you within 48 hours. If they are passing the issue to someone else (a subject teacher, Head of Faculty or Head of Year, for example), they will send you a ‘holding email’ within the 48-hour window to explain this. Please do be patient. All our Tutors work full days in class, and some issues require investigation or asking another member of staff, which is why we have the 48 hour response time.
If you are not satisfied by the response from the Tutor, please contact your child’s Head of Year (HOY), for Pastoral issues, or the Head of Faculty (HOF) if it is regarding a particular subject. Again, the best way to contact them is via email. Please use the [email protected] address and mark the email for the attention of that HOY or HOF.
If you do need to contact staff by phone, it may be unlikely that they will be available during the school day, so a message will be taken and they will contact you as quickly as possible, but this will be within 48 hours.
