Head’s Comments

The Safeguarding Review that we commissioned in May carried out by the Local Authority confirms that Court Fields is effective in it safeguarding procedures and demonstrates that the welfare of students is paramount.  The review recognised that we demonstrate many areas of excellent practice and that the Safeguarding of your children is managed strongly by the leadership team.  The report went on to say that our Single Central Record was of a very high standard and the school had a culture of calmness and learning.  We are now working towards achieving The Gold Standard so have some recommendations to action for improvement.  This was identified in the form of additional signage on our site, continued regular training of all staff , providing permits for parking in particular areas of the school, increasing the information on our website, surveying students and offering more support to some students from trained emotional health workers.  You will also remember that Ofsted found our Safeguarding effective.  Most importantly it is clear that yur children feel safe and secure at school and know where to go and who to speak to if they have any concerns.  Our students are very confident and understand our policies on Safeguarding, Anti-Bullying and E-Safety for example.  We will continue to review Safeguarding regularly as Governors also do with half termly ‘no notice’ visits to test our systems.
