Duke of Edinburgh Expedition
Silver Duke of Edinburgh Practice Expedition
Over the weekend of the 17th – 19th March, nine students and four staff braced the 40 miles per hour gusts of wind and horizontal rain to do a 3 day and 2 night expedition across Exmoor. The teams started just outside Wheddon Cross and walked to Minehead, staying at Cloud Farm in the Lorna Doone Valley and spending a night in Porlock.
Despite numerous blisters and the challenging weather conditions the groups really enjoyed their expedition and learnt a lot in preparation for their assessed expedition in July.
