Court Fields School receives a further award from the National Citizen Service

Court Fields School was presented with its second award from NCS ( National Citizen Service ) in recognition of its proactive support in encouraging its year 11 students to participate in the 3 week NCS programme of activities. Pictured receiving a plaque and a certificate are Paul Cowling, responsible for careers and the main link with NCS, Rachael Bennett, Head Teacher and Flavia and Sarah from Activate, the company responsible for delivering the NCS contract in Somerset.

50 year 11 students from the school have already signed up for the 2018 programme.

The NCS programme is aimed at 16 -17 year old. It takes place over the school holidays. As well as two separate periods of away from home residential which includes a range of exciting  outdoor activities, students will also be given time to develop new skills whilst learning more about their communities and how they can make a difference through social action projects.
