Court Fields School have won the 2014 South West Inter Schools climbing competition after a strong second round performance at The Climbing Academy, Bristol on Sunday 11th May.
With probably the youngest aggregate age of all the teams, this was a superb result for the Court Fields squad, building on their surprise second place finish in the first round of the competition.
Round 2 focussed on bouldering, with each competitor having 4 hours to attempt 20 different problems, some of which were very hard indeed. Geordie and Beth both looked stronger than ever and Ben and Ellen deserve special thanks for stepping into the team at the last minute. In the individual rankings, our two most experienced competitors won trophies. Joe Walmsley was first placed boy and Katie Action was third placed girl overall.
