At Court Fields we are always proud of our student’s achievements. GCSE outcomes have risen year on year demonstrating the commitment of our students, their parents and our staff to ensure that every child achieves well and leaves us well qualified for their ‘next steps’ in education, employment or training. 2016 GCSE results were the best in Court Fields history with more students achieving 5 x GCSE including English and Maths than ever before.
Court Fields Year 11 students have excelled in their GCSE exams achieving the best results in the school’s history. 67% achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths with one in five students getting the top grades of A*/A in 3 or more subjects. Congratulations to all of our students in the Class of 2016 – we wish you every success at College and in your future careers. Thank you to all staff at Court Fields who have worked tirelessly to ensure our students achieved great results and to all of our parents who most probably have had a turbulent year with their teenagers who can now relax and enjoy the next phase in their development! Elated students at Court Fields School shared their GCSE results with friends, staff and parents amidst tears of joy and relief. Headteacher Rachael Bennett said “It is always delightful to share success with students and know that they can now move on to Further Education with confidence”. 90% of students achieved 5 or more A* – G grades including Maths and English smashing the school target by 10%. Students achieving A*/A also exceeded the schools targets for the top grades. Megan Ellis, Court Fields Head Girl successfully secured 9 x A*/A grades. “I worked really hard and got the grades, I am so happy” she said. Other top performing students include Charlotte Dennehy and Bethany Howley who also achieved 9 x A*/A, Geordie Stock achieved 8 x A*/A, Eliz Boga 7 x A*/A, Alice Hall and Alex Wasey 6 x A*/A, Eliza Fenn, Pheobe Jones, Charlotte Manning 5 x A*/A, Josanna Fielder, Richard McGuffie, Chloe Mockridge, Katie Sattler and Tom Trowbridge each achieving 4 x A*/A and Josh Baker, Esme Clark, Lauren Gill, Eleanor Jones, Jasmine Pike, Jack Taylor and China Webber all securing 3 x A*/A. Ms Bennett added “ It is down to the commitment and determination of students, their parents and our teachers that leads to a child’s success and I would like to thank everyone in this partnership for making a difference to the lives and outcomes of our Class of 2015”.
Court Fields students celebrate outstanding success and achievement once again with an 8% rise in their GCSE 5 x A*-C including English and Maths. Students achieved an impressive 65%. Record numbers of students achieved A*/A grades with some students awarded 100% in specific exam papers. You can’t get better than that! Congratulations Year 11, we are very proud of you.
